Dachshunds – brave hunters with long bodies and big personalities
These characterful four-legged friends with their elongated bodies, short legs, and alert expressions were originally bred in Germany for hunting purposes. Their distinctive body shape allowed them to pursue badgers and foxes into their burrows – hence their name (Dachs means badger in German). Despite their compact size, many Dachshunds have retained the confident and courageous temperament they used to be known for in their hunting days.
Please note: Dachshunds aren't accessories or stuffed animals – they're real dogs in miniature format, complete with all the needs and behaviors it entails!
Why Adopt a Dog from a Shelter? It's simple: You're giving a deserving little soul a second chance. Countless lovable Dachshunds and other pups are waiting in shelters like ours, dreaming of their forever home – your perfect match might just be waiting for you!
Choose love. Choose adoption.
