Beanie (vormals Lilli)
Hi Carol,
as I'm sure anybody who has adopted a dog will know its difficult to describe the difference they make on your life but we like to think Beanie is more special than most!!!
My mother in law told us that a dog will make you smile at least once a day for life, well with Beanie its more like a fit of giggles a day. She is such an absolute clown we can't help but laugh at her. She is such a dainty gentle girl but at the same time so very clumsy. She's always falling off
the sofa when she gets excited, or sliding into the wall as she chases her toy tiger ( I say toy tiger but really all thats left of it is a scrap of
ginger fur, but its still her favorite!) Our favourite way to spend the day is to drive to the Vienna woods to get thoroughly dirty and exhausted (as you can see by the picture of us having a sleep together when we got back!) and she loves to chase sticks although she has no intention of bringing them back! It has been the most wonderful experience to watch her confidence grow over the weeks. She is impossible to be angry with even when she's naughty because she has this hilarious fake guilty look which she knows works every time.
Play time at the park is a great way to start the day, I always go to work with smile on my face after watching her tearing round the park, playing
rough and tumble with the other dogs. Its hard to remember the terrified shaking puppy we picked up 6 or 7 weeks ago.
There is no such thing for us now as a cuddle on the sofa without Beanie somehow managing to squeeze herself into whatever tiny space there may be.
Although with a bit of wriggling she always manages to end up with more room than us both put together.
Beanie has become a companion, an entertainer, a member of family and occassionally a royal pain in the butt, and would not have her any other way!!!
Thank you so much for finding her for us, we promise you will always be glad you did.
